OKaaay sooooo, the place thats shown on google was not the location and honestly im glad because i would have felt sus going in cus its a barber shop. Her place is one street over. and her address is on the website where you book the appointment. I never ever do reviews for anything, but felt like she really deserved it because she cut from a different cloth. shes decades in the hair game and there's not many old school, relatable stylists out here anymore. Im too old to get my hair done by some kid who only do lace wigs and booty braids. plus these reviews are all good but nobody is giving any real details. and honestly not to be funny but when places are located in the Eastside I like to know what to expect. IJS. Shes up stairs, just a heads up for those that cant do stairs. upon entry, it smells great and its clean and peaceful. small set up just for a client or two. It was just her and I. she's very nice and conversational, but she dont talk too much or do the most. she had a bible in her house so i immediately felt like okay she cool with me. She lets you watch whatever you want on tv. I loved it! I watched paramount, she has all the subscriptions LOL. There is Wifi and she offers beverages. initially, she washed my hair... she said it was optional and as long as my scalp was clean i was all good to just get started, and she checked to make sure i wasnt lieing lol. i honestly did already wash it but like wow since she offered, i wanted the full experience. I was not bent over the sink or anybodys tub (that has happened before, crazy!) she has a portable salon sink for her clients. before she started washing she ask me consultation questions which no hair braider has ever done. She even asked me if i was allergic to any products. like wow, I felt so seen! when i tell you this lady hands move faster than I've ever experienced... thats not to say that there isnt fast braiders out here, there definitely is... but fast and extremely neat is another level. now dont get excited because my definition of perfect may be different from yours but when i tell you she did the flattest smallest braids ive ever seen anyone do for a crochet, I know this is gonna last a long while. on top of that she knows her hair, her hair growth, and from what i can tell from our convo she specializes in everything Natural hair. Best part of all is she has her license hanging for all to see. I am encouraged that my next experience will be a great one because i am definitely coming back. My entire service was complete in about 2 hrs. I am sold. My phone camera wont do this style justice but i get so many compliments. I posted a photo my style in my google review. Don't take this review with a grain of salt, go and see for yourself.
